Advanced and Intensive Writing. This course provides a comprehensive foundation in evidence-based practice (EBP) and research principles essential for professional nursing and healthcare practice. Emphasis is placed on the integration of the best available evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values to inform decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Students will develop the skills necessary to formulate clinical questions, systematically search for and retrieve relevant literature, and critically appraise research evidence for validity, reliability, and applicability. Learners will engage in the evaluation and synthesis of evidence to support changes in clinical practice and will be introduced to strategies for translating research findings into practice across diverse healthcare settings. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to critically evaluate research, apply evidence to clinical decision-making, and contribute to a culture of inquiry and continuous improvement in healthcare.
