PSY-205: Self-Assessment of Learning

This course provides a guide for students to assess their own learning styles and create a plan to best support their academic needs. Students will be introduced to organizational strategies, theories of learning, and types of memory. Through a series of multimodal activities, they will explore their own cognitive strengths, examine executive functions, and review common barriers to learning. The class will learn how to collect data, assess their own progress, and adjust learning strategies as needed. Students will leave the course with a detailed plan on how to best support their learning at Carroll and foster habits for future careers.
