NU-202: Assessment & Health Promotion

The purpose of this course is to understand health assessment principles, to apply evidence-based health promotion, and to acquire techniques for physical examination by the professional nurse. Focus is on the development and use of assessment skills as a basis for clinical decision-making, along with proper documentation of assessment findings. There is an additional fee for this course.
Prerequisites
Admission to the Nursing major; Take CH-111 CH-111L with minumum grades of C-. Admission to the Nursing major; Take PSY-105 with minumum grade of C-. Admission to the Nursing major; Take CORE-110 or ENWR-102 with minumum grade of C-. Admission to the Nursing major; Take an Oral Communications course with minumum grade of C-. Admission into the Nursing major and Take BI-201 BI -201L BI-202 BI-202L, with minimum grades of C-.
