In this hands-on course, students will learn to think like a hacker to better defend networks and systems. The course covers ethical hacking fundamentals, including legal and ethical considerations, as well as penetration testing procedures for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. Topics include web application security, network defense tactics, and the execution of real-world penetration tests, culminating in a project where students ethically hack a live system to improve its security.
