This course allows all students to engage in an authentic research experience including experimental design, use of modern instrumentation, data analysis, and presentation of results. Students will work in small groups on unique research projects and will present their findings in poster format at Carroll’s Student Research Festival (SRF) in April. Topics of investigation may include kinetics, use of enzymes in modern synthesis, or development of green materials prepared from renewable resources. Furthermore, students will explore and understand metabolism by completing a non-diagnostic metabolic panel on themselves with discussion to follow. Lab meets once a week for 3.5
hours.
